Goodsports Physiotherapy and Spinal Care have been helping people on the north side of Brisbane (Boondall, Virginia, Taigum, Fitzgibbon, Sandgate, Deagon and Zillmere) since 1995. Originally started by Tim and Amanda Cartwright, they are now joined by an experienced and highly skilled team of physiotherapists, massage therapists, a podiatrist and dedicated clerical staff.
Through our commitment and service to various sporting clubs including Brisbane Broncos NRL club, Norths Rugby League Football Club, Nudgee College Rugby and Brothers Swimming Club we have had the opportunity to help many elite athletes achieve their goals. But we do not just cater to athletes, we aim to ensure that regardless of age everybody achieves a painfree, fully functional and enjoyable life.

Tim is a principal of the practice. He has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and a Masters of Manipulative/Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, which is a higher qualification for the treatment of backs and necks. He has also done various further education courses in sports injuries, western acupuncture, orthopaedics and ergonomic care.
He graduated from the University of Queensland in 1991 and completed his Masters degree in 1998. He is currently consulting to the Brisbane Broncos NRL club and has provided physiotherapy game coverage and injury treatment for Norths Rugby League for the last 10 years.
Amanda is also a practice principal. She has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and a Masters of Sports Physiotherapy. She has done various further education courses in western acupuncture, areas of back and neck treatment, women's health and exercise prescription. She currently works with elite swimmers from Brothers Swimming Club and Rugby Union teams from Nudgee College for the past 13 years.
Bill became a Physiotherapist after a long playing career in football (soccer) both in Australia and professionally in the UK. He has a Bachelor of Exercise Sports and Science (2003) and a Masters of Physiotherapy (2005). Interested in all aspects of physio, especially sports injury treatment and exercise prescription, he has extensive experience with work place injury management.
Kate graduated ACU Bachelor of Physiotherapy with honours in 2013. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree from St Bonaventure University in New York State, USA where she attended on a swimming scholarship. Kate was a national distance swimmer and still competes recreationally in triatholons and ocean water swims. Kate has a long history of netball involvement including playing, coaching and as a physio.
Natasha graduated from the University of Sydney in 2015 with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physiotherapy. Natasha has a strong passion for paediatrics and rehabilitation post-operatively. She has experience in the assessment and management of childhood developmental conditions, and uses the latest assessment tools to identify any areas to target for your child.
Since graduating Natasha has completed further study in Western accupunture and dry needling. She treats with a hands on approach to reduce pain, improve function and assist in the return to everyday activities.
Ashley graduated from Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2017. Since graduating Ashley has completed training in Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling, which she utilises to reduce pain, promote healing and release muscle tension. She hopes to complete further studies to specialise in sporting injury rehabilitation.
Ashley shows a keen interest in injury prevention, and enjoys providing rehabilitation programs to reduce future body dysfunction. She has a 16 year background in competative dance training, and enjoys using her core stability and control knowledge in her programs. She also conducts pilates classes here at Goodsports, which aim to improve body function through addressing strength, flexibility and stability. Ashley has a passion for collaborating with her patients, to set goals and achieve optimal healthcare outcomes for an improved quality of life.
Mitch graduated ACU with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (honours) in 2013. He completed an engineering degree prior to commencing his physiotherapy studies. Mitch has a keen interest in biomechanics, and his experience with engineering gives him a unique perspective in assisting with sporting injuries along with rehabilitation. Mitch has also attained qualifications in Level 1 Spinal Physiotherapy. Mitch is also an accredited pilates instructor, and enjoys working with teams and groups.
Anthony works at the clinic on Thursday and Fridays, treating all types of foot and ankle conditions ranging from sports related issues to diabetic foot and nail care. On the spot health fund rebates are available for participating funds.
Last but definitely not least, our friendly, vibrant and always helpful administration team. Reception is available Monday to Saturday to answer any queries, take your bookings and help in any way possible.
